It was fabulous!

On Saturday we had a stall at the Fabulous Fair in Grimsby Minster, selling our own range of hand made cards, gifts and accessories. We had a great day, met lots of lovely people and here's what our stall looked like:

We sold lots of Mother's day and Easter cards as well as some rabbits and other gifts.

Thank you to everyone who came along and gave us their support, we really appreciated it!

What's in a name?

On Sunday our friends second daughter is getting Christened. As a gift we've made a personalised card of her name 'Anya' which is a Russian name meaning: Favour, grace.

Then on Monday it's our niece, Beth's Birthday so we've made her a personalised card too. Beth is a Hebrew name meaning: my God is a vow.

We wish them and their families a lovely day and hope the sun is shining for them!

Union Jack cushions

There were lots of small pieces of fabric left after making the Easter bags, so I decided to use them to make 'Spring' inspired Union Jack cushions:

 Pinks

 Blues

They are really simple to make and I also added ribbon to the centre cross. You can use any types of fabric, think I'll do some in velvet for the winter markets!

Easter treats

We've made some lovely little cotton bags in bright spring inspired colours to put eggs in for Easter presents. The bags can then be used again for anything!

Here's how they are made:

Choose a selection of bright patterned fabric and cut into rectangles 17 x 22 cm. Do the same for contrasting lining fabric

Using strips of the same fabric (30cm long), fold and stitch to make the handles, also cut some smaller pieces of ribbon for the ties

Stitch the lining fabric to the outer fabric then turn inside out

You can use any fabric, the more colourful the better!

Then fill with mini eggs covered with foil, yum!

Easter bunnies

Here's a quick look at our new Easter bunnies and how we make them:

Cut out rabbit pieces in fleece and applique colourful tummies and ears with bondaweb

Stitch eyes and mouth and add a button for one eye

Sew arms and legs leaving opening for stuffing then turn inside out to correct side and stuff with toy stuffing

Then attach arms and legs and stitch to body, adding a little fluffy tail!
